Dear all,
Refer to help documentation for synonym domain that we cannot create a new synonym, it's reserved by the system. But how can i manage statuses for my custom application and then assign to workflow?
If i create ALN Domain, Maximo cannot populate ALNDomain for ActionType=CHANGESTATUS.

Just to make sure all the steps are done. . .
--You made a custom table in the Database Configuration app, having one of its attributes as "status"
--You made an ALN Domain with the statuses you want to use
--The sites/orgs on the records you create in your custom app match the sites/orgs you defined in your ALN domain
--In the Database Configuration application, you bound your ALN Domain to the attribute field in your custom table
Have you done all that, and it still doesn't work? I've not tried this (making a statusable custom app) personally so I can't say for certain, but from what you wrote it sounds like maybe you didn't bind the domain to the status field.

Hi Travis,
Thanks for the reply, actually i have done all setups (creating SIMULATION
& SIMULATIONSTATUS) and it's working fine in max52 by extending
changestatus(). As far as i know that max75 has workflow supported for
customapp and i cannot add new wf action which has type = CHANGESTATUS for
object = SIMULATION.
It says:
BMXAA0050E - You cannot create a CHANGESTATUS action for a non-statusable
object

The only other thing I can think of is to make sure you have a Sig Option for status changes. Other than that, I don't know if custom objects in 7.5 support status changes or not.
Do keep in mind though that being Workflow-able and being Status-able are two different ideas. I'm sure the custom objects are Workflow-able. But that doesn't mean they can do status changes.
Any chance a SETVALUE action would work instead?
