Looking for sizing recommendations

From: foundationboarder187 (2012-02-17 13:05)

What system sizing would you recommend for 200 concurrent users with a 250gig database?
Would you guys consider this a big Maximo instance?
Looking for:
Number of Servers
Number of Nodes per server
Memory to allocate to the DB
Thanks in Advance,
Todd

Is this for Maximo 7.5? In terms of users I'd consider it medium sized, I'd
work on JVMs with 4Gb of memory each (assuming 64-bit JRE) while allowing
an overhead of 4-6Gb for the OS, WebSphere, Deployment Manager and so on.
As for the database - 250Gb? Really? I'm curious as to what that is based
on as it seem HUGE to me!

App Server Weblogic Application Server 8.1.4.0
Version MAXIMO Application Server 6.2.4 Build 20090306-1647 DB Build V600-696
Oracle 10g
9 nodes with 1gig of memory allocated per node on 3, 32bit windows servers.
Does this impact your consideration?

300 concurrent users
DB size +200GB
WebSphere 6.1
Maximo 7.1.1.8 with transportation
4 Sun Solaris Servers
32GB RAM each
20 JVMs for UI - 5 per node/server
12 JVMs for Reporting - 3 per node/server
4 JVMs for MEA - 1 per node/server
15 concurrent users per UI JVM.
Not all JVMs have 4GB each, but IBM recommendation is 4GB for each JVM in 64 bits environments.
