Maximo Utilities 6.2.1 WebLogic and Oracle
Has any come across an issue where the users do not want an item to be allowed to transfer into a storeroom unless it is already allocated to that store via item master > add item to store?
it has become an issue recently with non stocked items, as when these are transferred to a store they are not allocated to, they become stocked (as this is default).
i was under the impression that an item must first be allocated to a store before it could be transferred there, so was shocked when discovered this was not the case.
any experience, help or ideas on this would be useful.
You might be able to control this via storeroom security, i.e. only give
storeroom permissions to certain people (who presumably would know better
than to do that).

You could develop a mechanism to avoid such issue through table domain.
