Please HELP!!

The best bet, in my opinion, is to re-create the problem, then get someone
to check the logs on the server to find out what's going on behind the
scenes. That normally saves a lot grief and time.

Continuous problem? We’ve run across the same thing from time to time, and with a ‘refresh’ of the record, removed the transitory contention. Think it comes from someone else having ‘snagged’ the record after the first person before the first person executes their action, and person 2 ‘updates’ the record, effectively knocking the versions out of synch.

If this is a continuous problem, check to see if the application has both a class extension and an application/field level control (IBM Field Control, TRM, WorkTech, etc).  Use one or the other.  Either replicate the class extension (if possible) in the application/field level control, or replicate the application/field level control in the extension.  Disable/remove the unused one.
