Our production site is still on version 5.2 and Actuate. After years, we have encountered a problem with generating Actuate reports. For some reason, when we are trying to print reports from Maximo, we are now getting an error with no data displayed. For example, we select to print the current work order. The Maximo Business Analysis and Reporting window comes up blank with no parameters. Then I receive an automated email saying the report execution failed. There is no longer any support from IBM on 5.2 and we are in crisis. Our ISS department recently moved the database to a new server, but they assure me that this is not the issue. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm sure you have already tried all of the following, but here are some glimmers of memory from the past.
Check the properties for Actuate in the Maximo properties file and the Actuate properties files. (I cannot remember the name of the files off the top of my head - many years since 5.2.) Make sure that it references the database alias and that the ip address is not hard-coded anywhere. If on Oracle, make sure that the tnsnames.ora file on the Actuate server has the correct reference also.
Are you on SqlServer? If so, ensure that the database is not set for a 'secure' password. Actuate changes the signon/password (MAXIMO/PASSWORD) to upper case and reports will not run. NOTE: this quirk took an extremely long weekend of troubleshooting and was found out by accident that the dba had changed the setting.

Here is a doc that may help.
So the ISS department took care of the changes and re-built your ears?

You might have altready tried this but incase...
I think you should try below,
1. Right click on Actuate erorr page you receive
2. Open Source with wordpad or notepad++
3. goto line 832 and see whats error message and details there...
Regards,
Fawad
