I am trying to restrict workorders by workorder.vendor = userid. I currently have a hidden restriction. If I hardcode the userid in the condition it works fine. If I use a variable (:user) all recrods are readonly.
Any suggestions?

Dear Mary,
I'm facing the same problem in 7.1.1.9 , I have tried to in the condition (mytable.reportedby='my user name') and it works fine but when replacing 'my user' with :&USERNAME& or :USER , the field turns read only .. then I give up and went to hardcode and still in fine tune stage
