Any 7.5.0.1 Maximo Upgrade experts yet???
We recently upgraded our Maximo 7.1.1.6 to Maximo 7.5.0.1 the end of February.
App Server IBM WebSphere Application Server 7.0
Version IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.5.0.1 Build 20111019-1635 DB Build V7501-00
Tivoli's process automation engine 7.5.0.1 Build 20111019-1635 DB Build V7501-134
Server OS Windows Server 2008 6.0 build 6002 Service Pack 2
Server DB Oracle 11.2 (Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0
Everything worked great in Development
moved it to Test and everything still was working great
moved it to Production and it was great until our users logged in
Our users log in to Maximo across the WAN, so the issues that they have, we are unable to recreate on our end.
Basically they are having the following problems:
1. when changing the status the status changes, but the status dialog box never disappears.
2. Applied the Import/Export feature on the PM application and the Import preview feature does not work just disappears (this works in the other environments for the users and us)
3. It is very slow going from tab to tab
4. They get a system message that states: There was a communication error with the server which will result in the loss of some of your changes. You must reload the application and enter the information again click -- reload boxThis can happen on any screen and/or tab --
Here are some examples of errors and Debug messages that we have found in the log that may (or may not) pertain to the issues above.

I have been on 7.5 since August 2011 and I have not seen any of the issues
that you are seeing.. The only difference is I am running SQL Server, but
that should not make a difference.. I wish you luck and hope IBM can solve
your issue..

Hi,
Just as a general thought, check that the user's browser is set to delete temporary files & cookies when the browser is closed, and that the java cache has been emptied & re-set to not save temporary files locally. We found this caused problems when accessing version 6 over the WAN.
NB - Java & IE settings are per User per Machine, so this needs to be done for each user who logs on to the PC.

Be sure all users clear their browser cache. That can cause multiple interface problems.

I get the above in the logs when using Data Import from External Systems. The import still works. "Control 'xxx' could not be found to process the 'yyy' event" debug lines do not affect functionality of Maximo from my experience. I mostly ignore them now.

Async time out errors also appear to not affect functionality. This error shows up maybe a couple times per week. As long as the cron task runs more than it fails, I'm not too concerned.
I'm not an expert and these are just personal experience. Have been running 7.5 for about 5 months.
