Hi,
I started to get an error when running buildmaximoear.cmd (see error below)
I'm running this on a Windows machine and it has been working fine for almost a year, but now it stopped working...
I have rebooted the machine and checked available memory --> almost 2 G free, but still the same error
C:\IBM\SMP\maximo\deployment>buildmaximoear.cmd
BuildMaximoEarTask process starts
Log File: buildmaximoear20120319093446.log
JVMJ9VM015W Initialization error for library j9gc23(2): Failed to instantiate heap. 1G requested
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
C:\IBM\SMP\maximo\deployment>
Anyone has an idea what the problem can be and more important how can I fix it and be able to build maximo.ear again?

You shouldn't need 1g for the build ear process, try reducing it to 512. The error is basically stating at the JVM tried to reserve 1gb of memory but failed most likely because it wasn't available (other services, programs running).
