I'm starting to look at using the Timer functions in the SR/WO modules to make tracking time a little easier for techs. One question I wanted to address is how to make sure someone doesn't leave a timer going and then rack up 32 hours of time by accident.
Any suggestions or ways you've monitored work timers being left open/on?
Escalation that sends them a notification?
Just a thought.

Hi,
You could set up a an escalation and action to find any timer that's been open for more than say 8 hours and then send a notification to that user and use the action to change the state of the timer.
The user would then have to reopen the timer if it was still valid. So if you never have any user doing work for more than 8 hours that's okay. If they do work more than 8 hours then you could increase that value or use other parameters to filter the escalation.
