Maximo ver 6.2.1
We issued a rotating asset to the wrong work order. Because it is a rotating asset we cannot return the item to stores and reissue it to the correct work order.
How do you reverse or correct the issue of the rotating asset and get it onto the correct work order with the correct cost?

In Maximo you can ISSUE a rotating asset and it automatically creates the appropriate MOVE.
Other than issue, any other activities are performed by MOVE the asset.
So Move it back to the store, and then issue to the correct WO.
By the way most people carry Rotating Assets at zero cost. The rotating options are really for tracking asset, not for costing.
They are assets not inventory.
