Hi Everyone,
We just applied a hotfix to our Maximo 6.2.4 environment and now when we have a job plan with associated inventory parts tied to a PM, and we execute the WOGEN task, the associated work order creates an inventory reservation even though the status of the generated workorder is WSCH. This didn't happen before the hotfix. We also have a PMR open on it, but haven't found a resolution yet.
Does anyone out there know where to control/modify these settings? Any help would be appreciated!

WSCH is a Maximo status specifically for PMs. When a work order is generated
in this status the status cannot be changed back to WAPPR and it prevents
changes to the planned activities on the work order. Since the work order is
in a status higher than approved any materials identified on the plans tab
are reserved in inventory. As far as I remember this has always been the way
the program functioned of us. If we do not want the materials reserved at
the time of PM generation we generate in a status of WAPPR and let the
supervisor approve the work order when they are ready.
It is possible there is a maxvars setting for this but I have a hard time
determining from the setting names exactly what the all control.
