Need to add QA review of certain types of workorders

From: cbrandon63 (2012-06-06 18:01)

Hello Gurus
Just now upgrading to 7.5 and have a new requirement for additional fields/processing on certain types of work orders.
Situation: CM on a molding tool requires follow-up QA review before the work order can be marked complete. I thought I could use specifications on either a new classification or on a job plan to add the necessary fields for QA input to the work order. Then create an escalation to notify necessary people.
The specifications are easy to set up but not very pretty or user friendly...and I need one to be a long description for QA notes. Has anyone customized the appearance of the specifications?
Now I am considering just adding the needed fields to the workorder table and using the application designer and trying to figure out how to make them conditionally appear on a workorder.
Any great ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,
Search this group for sanitationcheck and you'll get several disscussions.

You could make a condition based on some value but we decided to just force the user to indicate if a QA review is needed or not.
Until they do that they cannot complete the work order.
