Color Alerts - Result Sets - V7.5

From: shannonrotz (2012-07-11 19:34)

Hi guys: anyone know if you can get a color alert on a Result Set to trigger based on sysdate, i.e. if SCHEDSTART <= SYSDATE, change color?
So far it's not working, although it's not giving an error either.
TIA
Shannon

I have tried this as well with no luck.. Did some reading and from what I
can tell it has to be a hard coded date/time..

I specifically asked IBM at Pulse and they said the expression value is only a value, calculations and/or SQL expression are not supported at this time.
They commented that the KPI module should be used for that type of functionality.

Downer! Well, there goes that idea.

I'll figure something else out.

Shannon,

We use a product call TRM Rules Manager to perform such actions. Its a plug in type application that allows you to create rules to enhance Maximo's capablities where the out of the box functionality is missing or not flexible enough.

You could use a view which returns a number and put the views field in the result set
The view must have the same keys as the parent record + a
Rowstamp. The new field name must exist in the parent object as well as the view they must be the same types length etc.
A relationship is needed between parent and child
This article tells you how to add a Dot Notation/Joined Attribute to your result set
