Tip of the Day #243

From: John (2012-07-22 01:26)

What is ... Proactive Maintenance Planning?
Just because you have planners doesn't mean they are fully engaged in (or supportive of) future work planning. Rather they could be actively involved in reactive maintenance support. A proactive maintenance planner supports future work scheduling and reliability centered maintenance. They also review maintenance backlogs, work priorities, job plans and PM libraries. Planners may also be involved with identification of recurring problems, faulty parts, and work order feedback.
