Negative Current Balance in the Inventory

Hi everyone,
We have an item that is showing a negative current balance, even though we have negative balances disabled. There is no item reservations and I've checked all inventory transactions - receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments unfortunately I cannot find anything that will explain the large adjustment of the Current Balance. Does anyone else have any problems with current balances not looking to be correct? One thing I've noticed was the business have done a physical count way back 2009 but did not reconcile the balance after the physical count. Will this cause an issue with the balance of the item? We are using Maximo 7.1.1.6.

Hi Janice,
We are on Maximo 6.2.2 and we usually face these issues when Maximo shows wrong balances even all the transactions are correct. What we have done is we have developed the scripts which reconciles all transactions and gives us what should be the current balance. If it is different hen the current balance then we update it manually. I am not sure either it is a bug in 7.1, but in Maximo 6.2 it is a bug.

We also used to observe it previously. We therefore have developed a batch program(executed daily) that detects such anomalies and sends an email to stores staff, so that, they can take an immediate action.
