Chart of Accounts Select Value Screen

From: e11271b (2012-08-10 14:30)

I have imported chart of account data into the chartofaccount table.
When I try to select a chart of account, the select value screen comes up but no values are displayed to choose from.
Did I miss something, after performing the GL Account Configuration?

Have you added the gl components to the gl components table? If you do not
have the components added and active you will not be able to select the
components to create the accounts. if you are importing data it can be
useful to add a record from the front end to insure you are populating the
necessary tables.

Also did you go through the process of setting up the gl accounts in the DB
configuration application?

Kevin

I started by setting up an account-unit, account-nbr, sub-account in the gl account config app from the database admin screen.
I then inserted records from our dev environment into chartofaccounts, then into glcomonents.
I gave EVERYONE authorization to these accounts and I see the records in the glauth table. But still I don't see anything for selection on the Select Value Screen.

Did you add the components through the front end or load them through a script? If you loaded them backend, what do your scripts / load look like? You may not have set a field properly.

Basically, I just created a script from existing data in our dev environment.
If I were to start over, how would I have entered these from the front end?
