Users closing browser window and logging out

From: George (2012-08-31 13:34)

Just wondering how everyone deals with users closing the IE window and not logging out of Maximo.
How does this affect Maximo if I have a lot of users doing this?
What is best practice for this.
I've sent emails to the users and cc'd there supervisor asking them to please log out and not close the IE window but it keeps happening.
Maximo 6.2.1
Weblogic 8.1.4.0
SQL 2005
Thx in advance,
mrggutz

We set an automatic log out after 1 hour of inactivity in the system. To many sessions can hinder performance in the system.

Mrggutz,
To elaborate on what Erin is saying, there is a timeout setting in the properties files of Maximo. I can't remember which one, but just do a text search on the word time and you should pick it up. I ran into the same issue once.
Thanks,
Todd
