Job Plans not Valid

From: George (2012-10-10 11:33)

Hello group how is everyone?
I'm need some assistance please. I have created a new workorder and I'm trying to insert a job plan number and all I get is
'Job Plan PUMP is not a valid job plan'.....grrrrr
I've tried a few other job plans and I get the the same result.
The plans are active and I've tried using different status on the workorder and still nothing. Can someone please enlighten me on why this is happening.
Maximo 6.2.1
Weblogic
SQL 2005
thx in advance,
mrggutz

Hello mrggutz. Make sure the asset is listed on the Job Plan record as a work asset? Maximo only allows you to use the JP for assets that you specify there. Hope this helps.

Bill thanks for that, adding the asset to the job plan worked like a charm.
I will have to remember that for future use.

When you try to add a job plan to a work order, the dialog box will (by default) pre-filter it to only include the job plans associated with the asset on the work order. So EITHER:
1) add that asset to the job plan (as was mentioned before); or
2) uncheck the box to filter according to that asset -- then you'll be able to pick from ALL your job plans
