Maximo 7.5 Migration Manager & MAXATTRIBUTES

From: David M (2012-10-24 15:57)

Folks,
What Migration Group is used to migrate an Database Configuration changes from one environment to another?
I am looking at the DATADICTIONARY but I do not see MAXATTRIBUTES listed in the Package Definition Structure?
Is it burried in one of the other objects that are listed?
Thanks,
Miller

You can't just migrate attributes (at least not w/o creating your own group), you have to migrate the whole object, MAXOBJECTCFG. That is in the data dictionary group.

I am not actually just trying to get the attributes to migrate I just wanted to make sure they were included.
I actually appear to have it working when I used SYSTEM to the point that all my DBCONFIG changes get migrated but I blew up on some issues with my GLCONFIG migration due to exceeding the 5000 row limit. I dont actually need my GLCONFIG details so I am now staring with a cloned MIGRATION GROUP from the DATADICTIONARY where I remove the DMDEFGLCONFIGURE and DMGLCONFIGURE Migration objects.
I hope I can use the DATADICTIONARY clone and dont need to clone the SYSTEM.
Doing this now to see how it works.
Thanks,
Miller

If you don't need anything from the DMDEFGLCONFIGURE and DMGLCONFIGURE migration objects, you can just specify a where clause on those objects that will return nothing (I always use 1 = 2).
One thing that can be helpful is on the package definition structure tab, there is a drill down where you can drill into the migration groups to see what all objects are included (attributes in the object group for example).

Hi Miller
Yes the DATADICTIONARY migration group has an object structure
(DMMAXOBJECTCFG) which actually has MAXATTRIBUTECFG in Source Objects table.
Thanks
