Hi All,
I'm relatively new to Maximo, and I'm leading a green-field implementation of 7.5. My question is, is there an easy way (either natively or through a third-party tool) to consume ANSI-standard EDI 214 and 315 messages to indicate the location of items that have been purchased or received?
Thanks for any help!
Cheers,
~Scott
Don’t know what they may call it in 7.5, but the MEA capability (Maximo Enterprise Adapter) is pretty powerful in v.6.4 for data transfer through a variety of methods (natively).

You would need to transform the content of the message which I think will look something like (see below) the codes such as N3 Address Information and the data is separated by the *
B10*SFO1234567*1234567*SCAC ( Pickup)
N1*SH*OEM WH2
N3*250 WILLE ROAD
There are middleware tools that specialise in this such as biztalk which is very good or you could use something like perl
Either you convert the message to XML a flat file format or read the record and insert into interface tables
The work will be in the translation of the message once that’s done the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) version 7 is easy to use.
