can you create a wonum = "ROBOT-101" and Worktype=EV and leave this open for entire year ...and ... report labor actuals against it....and maybe add fields to LABTRANS which individually captures paint color/batch/drum.
-or- utilize Downtime reporting feature and smilarly add fields or alter domains as required.

The open work order is what we are doing now with years worth of these batches in a text field. yuk
I have added some other fields in LABTRANS to capture work performed and thought about using it for this purpose as well, but this should really be tracked against the asset rather than the labor.
Hadn't thought about the downtime reporting though ... off to chase that white rabbit. Thanx
