remove reassign button on workflow?

From: kevwertz (2013-04-19 17:41)

Hi folks...does anyone know how to remove the reassign button from the "Complete Workflow Assignment" dialog? I found a post that said that unclicking "display one" on the task node would remove the reassign button but that doesn't seem to work. We are on 7.1.1.6.

Oh I guess I should point out that I only want it removed for one certain
workflow. The rest of them need to have it.

It might be tricky.
That dialog box is in the LIBRARY.XML, because it's used in a number of
different contexts. If you remove it there, it will disappear everywhere.
Theoretically, you could apply some conditional UI to it, but there's no way
to do that via App Designer - you'd have to figure out how to do it directly
in the XML.
Personally, unless someone really objects, I prefer to take it off
completely. It allows a user to give reassign their assignment to just
about anyone, which can totally de-rail a workflow process, with completely
un-intended consequences. Since workflow processes are supposed to enforce
the business rules, this is not a good thing IMO.

I agree Shannon, this is a new organization coming in to Maximo here at
Grifols and they requested it be removed. But the main organization using
Maximo is very used to it being there and apparently uses it often.
I was intrigued by the post I found that said if you unclicked "display
one" on the task node that it would go away. I did not find that to be the
case but wondered if I didn't do something right.
