MY 7.1.1.7 production install - which started as a version 5 at some time - is short 50 rows campared to the empty database I just had to install to rebuild my DE.
305 rows to 355 - and I think that is why I can not upgrade to 7.5
Any Thoughts??
Can you provide what rows are missing?

It’s entirely possible to be missing rows and it not be an error. It’s not uncommon for an upgraded dB to have a different count. It would be specific to what’s missing and if it’s a problem (which is why Shannon is asking which ones I think…)
IF it works OK as 7.1.1.7 then they are not required for that – what does the integrity checker fail on?

Correct that is why I was asking what rows are missing..
Have you submitted a PMR to IBM for your upgrade issues? Seems like you are making a lot of assumptions and might not be asking the right questions, so therefore not getting the right answers... Or run the logzipper and attach the files to the group so we could view and assist you better... The logs should be giving an error for your issues with the upgrade..

I have an open PMR - which was opened about 1 1/2 weeks ago and still going. All still about trying to build the DE back up. Several zogzippers have been sent - I installed 7.1.1.5 to an empty database - upgraded that right away into 7.1.1.7. That is the level my database is at. From there I tried to run 7.5 against my 7.1.1.7 database and it would not start - saying that the level was blank. So that tells me it was not pulling info from the DE - but looking to the maxprop somewhere. I repointed back to the blank database and it liked it right away. One last attempt before I left, thinking that something did not complete in one of my prior upgrades, I thought 7.1.1.10 might repair the problem...false.. It came back with its own error. Shannon - some of the rows are ones I do not need that refer to db database, but ..still concern.

I am guessing you have already verified this before starting Maximo, but if your application db level doesn't match your db level then you will receive errors as you stated below ("saying that the level was blank")
Run {maximo_home}/maximo/application/maximo/version.bat
Check DE \ibm\smp\ctg_de\acsi\bin\listiu
Check the database
select * from maxvars where varname like '%DB%';
select * from maxvars where varname='MAXUPG';

Thanks but they look the same.
Common PMP 7117-02 and maxupg = 7117-47 on both

Yaayyy!
And think of the good side to this: now you know a lot more about what can
go wrong with Maximo installations than you did before
and probably more
than you ever wanted to.
