Several users are being booted out of Maximo while actively using Maximo7.1

From: bob_blakely (2013-04-25 23:29)

Several users are being booted out of Maximo while actively interacting with the system (so not a timeout). We are wondering if there could be a server or network issue in play? Not all users so made me think that it was a specific managed server but not sure.
We are using Maximo 7.1.1.9 with Weblogic 9.2 on a Windows 2008r2 64bit 16Gig Memory/quad processor server and an Oracle 11g database. 3 clustered managed servers
MEM_ARGS=-Xms4096m -Xmx4096m -XX:MaxPermSize=3584m
MaxProp: (based on a clustered environment) initalConnections=8 maxFreeConnections=8 minFreeConnections=5 newConnectioncount=3
There were 16 connections on each of the three managed servers and the logs look like everything is fine. Cpu was around 20% memory around 50%.
I'm at a loss of what to look for and was hoping that maybe someone in the Maximo world might of gone through this already.
The desktops are XP with IE8 running java 6.
Any clues??? Need more information???
Thank you for the help!

How are you load balancing and maintaining session persistence? If your users happen to keep going to the right place but then switch it would invalidate their session. If you have you users hit JVMs directly do they still have issues? Could you have a subset of users bypass the load balancer as a test?

I used the weblogic configuration wizard to setup the environment. It shows in the weblogic console that the cluster is using ‘Round Robin’ for the managed servers.

Are your users that have issues using Multiple Tabs? I've seen in the past if a user opens a separate tab and forgets about it, that tab actually times out which causes the entire session to be timed out.

Thanks Sean! Good question. I think that they open a new browser session and do not use the tab but will verify to make sure....
