need help -- pending upgrades

From: Travis Herron (2013-05-10 22:21)

Hello,
We're (still) on Maximo 6.2.6. My buddy from IT tells me they want to start upgrading Maintenance's computers to Windows 7 boxes. So, anyone know if there are problems with running Maximo 6.2.6 on Win7/IE9 or 10?

I've tested 6.2.4 with IE9 and did not see any functional issues. However; sometimes after a page loads completely the cursor still shows (technical name here) "the spinning blue circle," until the mouse is moved.

Hi,
We're on Maximo 6.2.7 completely with Windows 7 and IE9. It works well, we had the 'waiting' mouse icon issues still back on XP and it does still exist for us too as the spinning blue circle on Windows 7.
When we tried IE 10 the menu links (for Select Value, Go To, etc.) that sit to the right of fields were invisible.

Travis,
I'd recommend showing your IT Dept the IBM support matrix for Maximo.
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/groups/service/html/communityview?communityUuid=a9ba1efe-b731-4317-9724-a181d6155e3a#fullpageWidgetId=W5f281fe58c09_49c7_9fa4_e094f86b7e98&file=97d773e7-2177-4c0a-8b6b-170374718f9e
I was experiencing Maximo issues with a single site and in the process of working on the PMR we discovered that an overzealous IT tech upgraded everyone's IE. That broke IBM's configuration matrix and caused us to have to meet the configuration matrix before IBM would continue working on the PMR. Not surprisingly, when I got the site reverted back to an accepted configuration the problem went away.
