Good morning all, perhaps you can help me, our storeroom has stocked tools that are checked out and sometimes never returned. I tried to create a report with BIRT in detailed reporting so we can see what tools have been out for over a 2 week period. I don't see any tables that would allow me to do this. Again, we have sqlserver but not sure how to write the sql statementÂ….any help would be most appreciative.
Regards,
Ralph Glass

You don't say which version so this is for 7.5 and it depends how you use tools
i.e. if you just reference tools and use them on the work order i.e. on the actuals tab then
TOOLTRANS
If you use stocked tools then

Thank you Ian.....yes it's 7.5, sorry, this is my second time writing the group. I guess it would be easier if we require them to put the stocked tools in actuals on all work orders. Thanks again Ian

Things to note - when RETURNING from the stocked tools application you can over return i.e. create stock from the either !! also the work order number isn't mandatory so I was originally thinking along the lines aggregate issues and returns wand where the net result was > 0 you have a non returned Tool but you will have to know what work order tools were being returned from
When issuing you issue and then in the wotrack app you need to select the issues to bring them onto the work order. This looks a bit clunky to me although I haven't spent a lot of time looking at it
So from stocked tools app it looks like you need to issue then go to the work order and select the issue to see it on the work order
In my opinion you'd be better of using normal inventory and identifying the item as a tool in a classification or a custom field
