I have only done this once since upgrade - and it didn't go well. I ended up getting production pointed to test database. I think confusion was in the step to map modules to servers.
Here I should select the webserver & the test app server in the clusters and servers box and select & apply all modules?
BTW ... I first want to redeploy to the test server. so the web server & whichever app server I'm trying to redeploy is what should be selected in the clusters & servers

You want to look at your maximo.properties file in the properties folder.
Make sure your database connection stein is pointing to the test database.
When you rebuild and deploy, make sure you use the newest maximo.ear to deploy

I've made the same mistake with deploying test database before too. You just have to be careful, and Double check. Out test has older production data so if I go to work order, I would only see up to June 2013 which helps me know which database I am calling.
