Does anyone know if it is possible to set a button to run a specific query?
Before anyone says "create a workflow, use an interaction node with a relation, then set the button to run the workflow", remember that interaction node relations can only return one row.

Why not put the query on a start centre as a list
When they click the button it will take them to the screen with the pre selected records

Well, these users are looking for a button within the application. I know
it seems kind of pointless but when you are on a mobile device, every click
counts.

What is the query intended to do? Is it intended to execute a saved query and show the results in the list page? Return some other data to display? It may help if you can explain the desired solution in more detail.

There is a default query in the presentation, then users will scan a
location and filter that query down to 1. They wanted a button to return
them to the list view with the default query having run again and
displaying all locations in the query.
It would be nice if there was a way to create a button to execute a saved
query called "Refresh" that has the same query as the presentation, but I
would be fine with reproducing the same query yet again in some other
object.
I tried using an interaction node that just took me to the same
application, thinking the presentation query might run again, but no luck.
For now I just created a button to open "View/Manage Queries" and they can
click the "Refresh" query from there. But that's one more click I'd prefer
for them to not have to do. And remember we're talking finger clicks here,
not mouse clicks.

Why not make it the first option under the run saved query window (not sure what it's actually called, it usually shows "All Bookmarks" in the upper left of the navbar) they would have to "click" the dropdown to see the list, but if it's a finger press, the next thing under it could/would be the "Refresh" option? Unless they are using different queries each time?

There is a sigoption REFRESH you could try that, but I suspect it will re-run the current query
There must be a method to do this as the qbe screen has the button "Revise" - "restore default query" but again this only actions when the find button is clicked
I suspect it would need to be something custom unless anyone else has a bright idea
