Asset Repair & Return - workflow suggestion via work order?

Hi, we are looking to track some of our expensive furniture as it gets repaired under warranty and returned back to the site. I wanted to track progress of repairs and asset history in the work orders. What is the best way to handle this? We are on Maximo 7.5.0.5. I was thinking Work Orders with Tasks (or Child WOs). I am not clear though how to track the location of the asset as it moves through the repair and return cycle.

One way is to set the furniture up as rotating assets.  Then you can change the location of the asset as it moved from site to transport vehicle to repair shop, onto transport vehicle and back to site.  Transport vehicles and/or repair shops can be set up as storerooms or locations.
You can add another field on the WO for repair status and have a domain attached to that.  That field can track the status of the repair and the current location is tracked in the location.
