Maximo 6.2.6
Surely someone's run into this, but I can't find any old threads here on it. . .
Go to any Item-related app. I'll use Item Master as the example.
You arrive at the List tab. The left-most column is the item number. It has a lookup arrow. Click it and choose Classification.
The Classification Search dialog appears. Choose a node out of the the tree structure in the upper left -- but make sure it is a classification that has attributes defined for it.
In the upper right section, where you'd do your Attribute filtering, it is showing the AttributeID, but not it's description.
I can open the filter for that table window, and filter on the description as if they are there, but the text of the description is not showing up on the screen.
For example, the tree node I chose was for the BOOK classification. It has several attributes. One of them is #PAGES -- Number of Pages (ID and Description). On the screen, #PAGES shows, but the Description box is blank. But I can open the filter, type in "pages" in the description filter, and it filters down to that one attribute.
Any ideas?
The table relies on the built-in CLASSSPEC relationship, which looks sound. It then pulls the ATTRIBUTEDESC attribute from the CLASSSPEC table, which is not persistent. So I even tried changing it to ASSETATTRIBUTE.DESCRIPTION instead, but got the same results.
