RMI does not work with LDAP when invoked from external systems. we used this to control cron tasks from external scheduler tools in Unix. IIOP is the other solution. Has anyone used IIOP to execute maximo cron task from outside maximo. Expresso is one such tools that works on unix to control cron tasks within Maximo. please update me if anyone has used this technique with IIOP.
