Does anyone have information on some good maintenance planning and scheduling training? I am NOT looking for Maximo specific training. I'm looking for training on the concepts and practices of planning and scheduling outside the CMMS.

There are various companies that offer support in the training area. I’ve used Life Cycle Engineering to facilitate training at all levels and it can either be specific to a CMMS or independent. Any CMMS will support fundamental P/S processes. Used them to get 100+ sites to agree on one way of doing things so whomever you go with, make sure they can support you. LCE also has certification if you want your P/S associates to really master the principles. They offer similar for Maintenance Mgrs, Plant Mgrs and other roles.
There are other components that enable P/S benefits….like Master Data (single instance of your CMMS, BOM’s, Material Masters, stockroom controls, document linking, use of Classifications for technical objects and spares, coding, etc.) so take those into account as you pursue P/S.
