Hi Group,
I need to develop an escalation that triggers whenever an item, that is currently in zero balance, is available for a CM work order that has that item associated to it. I've no idea where to start with this.
Thank y'all,
Shirley
So you're looking for an escalation that fires off a notification when a
reserved item has its storeroom balance raised above zero?
Are you looking to run this against the WORKORDER or INVENTORY object?

Hi Chris,
I'm looking to run this against WPTOOL.ITEMNUM .
Hi Shirley: what version do you have? I ask because, out of the box, Maximo can monitor for stock-out situations in Maximo 7.5, i.e.:
1. If you add an inventory item to the Plan tab, and the Available Balance for the item becomes negative, the status of the work order will go to WMATL upon approval
2. Once the stock is received into the storeroom, the status of the work order will change back to APPR (assuming there are no outstanding Direct Issue reorders)
For the details, check out the STE on this:

Note: since this functionality was added in 7.5, there have been bugs with it, but they have been fixing them in various FixPacks.
