Hi folks, I am new to this forum and new to maximo...I was thrown into this program and self learning...I am trying to locate the labor force/personnel listing to add and delete personnel...I cannot find it anywhere in domains...any suggestions...?
Sounds like you need to get some training! First, Maximo doesn't like
losing data . . . so forget deleting people, you can make them inactive and
set filters to show only active individuals . . . what exactly are you
trying to do? manage person records? labor records? user records? craft
associations? . . . these and others are all tied together in various
ways.
For each individual you must have a person record, each person can have a
labor record and if you are going to assign that individual to a work order
than they must have a labor record. Each persons labor record can be
associated with one or many craft records. Also you must have a person
record to have a user record . . . whomever setup your maximo must have
given training and provided business processes/procedures for doing each of
these things . . . find the documentation or get some training.
Also you must have the appropriate security access to be able to do these
things . . . right now it is hard to tell if you even see the modules and
applications. Maximo will not let you do things wrong, if it has been
setup right. Yes, there are ways to delete records, no I have no intention
of leading you down that path . . .

thank you, yes I have been told not to delete because records are tied to people, crews and work. I tried deleting someone and it would not let me because they are associate with a work/job plan...I am getting a lot of feed back...thanks

Another reason is It should be synonym domain that will not let you delete you can only add or edit ,but do not delete any person from maximo from the history or audit purpose but if you still wanna do go change all those work order or JP that he is associated with then will let you delete, you can run a query to make it easy I'll will suggest to inactive the user
