Uninstall Fix Pack

From: akiporter (2014-07-21 16:25)

Is there a way you can uninstall a fix pack and go back to the one prior? Only thing that comes in mind is to restore the backed up SMP folder and then restore to the database backup prior to fix pack installation. Any suggestions or correction of my assumption are welcome.

Thanks Jake. I kind of thought so but was hoping to be wrong. Good thing is that this is a test environment so the data that was added can be compromised. We will roll back to the zipped SMP folder then restore database to pre-fix pack backup.

Which fix pack are you working with and what issues has it created?

7.5.0.6. The client said that it broke one of their interfaces and they made every effort to build it back and it could not function. I do not have specifics of the interface. They just put in a PO for us to revert back to 7.5.0.3 while they figure out what to do in the interim. Additionally on PO revision, it looks as though multiple lines are revised when its actually only one line that is revised. For instance if you revise a PO with 12 lines and say change the quantity of line 3, it will look as if all 12 lines were changed.

FYI – A revised PO is a new contract. It cancels the old one legally so all lines have to be changed. It can be that none of the lines will be the same as the original, for sure they all have a new POnum.

In 7.5.0.0-7.5.0.3, if you revise a line item, then the ponum remains the same but the revision will increment by one. If you are at the PO lines tab, go to select action > view revision history, then you will see the lines that revised. If you only revised line 3 then it will display the revisions of line 3. On 7.5.0.6, if you only revised line 3 and say changed the cost, it will show like all the lines were changed...even though the costs on the other lines are the same. That is what I am referring to.
