We are running Maximo 7.5.06 and have rich text format enabled.
When using Firefox, the long description is available and editable. However if you open the same record in IE the long description box will appear blank and you cannot click in the field, select any toolbar functions or make an entry in the field. Users think the description is erased or gone. I have had no success searching the net for this.
Try enabling compatibility view and add your Maximo url to the sites that
are allowed in Compatibility, that shall do the trick.
