I am trying to create a communication template, that when chosen, will populate the SEND FROM email addess with the currently signed on user's email address. I have seen :affectedemail, and :reportedemail,, therefore trying many different versions of :useremail, :&user&, etc. Any suggestions??
I have set up communication templates to send the email from the 'Reported By' person.
:REPORTEDBY.EMAIL.emailaddress
This required a relationship to the person table from the workorder table personid=:reportedby
Try using :userid.email.emailaddress or :personid.email.emailaddress
There is an out-of-the-box relationship from maxuser to person (personid = :personid)
If the userid is different from the personid, you might need to reference the personid in the maxuser table and then the email.

I don't believe the send from will accept a variable, you will probably get errors with invalid characters. Haven't tested anything but it might be possible to fire an automation script when the comm template is chosen to populate the send from with the logged in users email address.
