Another shameless plug seeking votes for my RFE:
This time I'm asking IBM to reinstate the ability to duplicate records in the Person app. Way back in v4.1.1 you could do that.
If you're like me and have a specific format for the PERSONID format you want to use, and you make a Person record, fill in all those fields, hit save. . .and then realize you didn't use the correct format for the PERSONID, you realize you have to delete it and do it all over again. If you could duplicate it, then you'd pretty much just need to fix the PERSONID field.
Also if you happen to have multiple people from the same family working in your organization, there's a lot of data that the two Person records might share: Last Name, Address, City, State, Zip Code, etc. It would save some data entry effort to be able to duplicate.
But above all, it would be better to have the ability to duplicate and not use it/not need it, than where we are with NOT having the ability to duplicate, and finding out I could use it.
(And I know that a lot of places are probably getting their Person data from a directory service like Active Directory, but this is for those of us that don't.)
