cannot add condition to value in ALN domain Maximo 7.5.0.4

From: chenthy (2016-03-04 08:00)

Hi,

I got this issue. I tried to add a condition to a value in an ALN domain so that when the condition is met, the value will show up.

I created the condition. I added to the View/Modify Condition area of the value in the ALN domain. I clicked OK and save. No error message of any.
The condition is not saved when you open the value again to see if the condition is there.

Has anyone run into this issue? Any solution or it is by design?

It looks like IBM put the condition fields on ALN domain screen by mistake. Why leave the fields there if they are not supposed to work?
We have to use a table domain for this situation, which require DB config since we need it on a table attribute.

When you go into the View/Modify Condition area, you then have to click New
Row in order to add it. You are doing that right?

Well, in ALN domain screen when I clicked "View/Edit Condition", there is no "New Row" button.

??

When you go into the Domains application, and retrieve an ALN domain, click
on a line containing a value, then click View/Modify Conditions, there's no
"New Row" button? Has somebody hidden it via App Designer or something?

Just to be clear, when you open an existing, IBM ALN domain, you can see the "View /Edit Condition" button and it works on the ones already there?

Folks,
Thank you all for the tips.

to close the loop, now I figured out the root cause thanks to you and my colleague.

I was using the Service Provider version of the Domains application called Domains (SP). It has a bug in that it does not show the detail fields when you click View/Add Condition.

We need to use the Domains application which does work. Again let us blame it on IBM of having such bugs :) I am glad the puzzle was solved thanks to you all and my colleague.
