Showing images in the Rich text editor

From: mikael.lahtonen (2016-08-15 04:01)

Hi,
I want to send html emails into tickets (eg Service Requests) with embedded images and show the embedded images in the Rich text editor (or viewer) in Maximo. The rich text editor shows COMMLOG.MESSAGE field.
Is there a way to do that? Maybe some java customization or something else...
Now the image is "shown" like this in the message in Maximo. The image is saved by maximo to attachments:

Regards,
Mikael

The screeshot in my post was removed by the system... but it was a screenshot of the rich text editor showing the broken image. Image is only visible through ticket's attachments

For the images to appear in the rich text editor (via a web browser), the images would have to be uploaded to a web accessible location (e.g. doclinks) to render properly after saving. It'd have to be a custom change to make the rich text editor work the way you want.
The HTML emails show the images okay because the images are embedded as part of the e-mail. Rich Text Editor don't work the same as HTML emails.
