Don't know if this will help much, but I built a clone of WOTRACK that's tab driven (assuming we mean the same thing. . .I built it this way to kind of step people through the data entry. They go through a series of screens and the last screen reviews everything that was entered, and there they can submit the request).
Anyhow, what I did was leave the existing List tab as its own single solitary tab. Then inside that tab, I added a tabgroup with several tabs.

Actually, nevermind Travis, read a little further, will give the list tab advice a try, hadnt thought to do that, but I see why it might alleviate my headaches. Thanks!

After looking at this again, I dont think this will work for me. The CreateSR screen doesnt come designed with a list tab and data entry tab. Its one screen with a button that submits a data entry request.
Attempting to make everything fit into new tabs on this page makes blank screens.
It shouldnt be this hard to add an out of box control to a default screen. Application designer needs some serious work.....

I know; that's not what I said.
SR, and my clone of WOTRACK that I mentioned earlier, are made in a ONE TAB design. There's only a single, default tab. One tab in the tabgroup. And you are going to keep it that way.
Under that tab, the OOTB Create SR app puts a section control. I'm telling you to put a tabgroup there, before any section controls.
So if you exported the XML, it would look like:
1-presentation
2--page
3---clientarea
4----tabgroup (this is the OOTB existing tabgroup)
5-----tab (this one is the OOTB existing tab)
6------tabgroup (you are adding this)
7-------tab (you are adding this)
8--------section (or whatever -- start laying out your design)
9---------design design design
7-------tab (this is your second custom tab)
8--------section
9---------design design design
7-------tab
8--------section
Like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <presentation id="createsr" mboname="SR" beanclass="psdi.webclient.beans.servicedesk.CreateSRSSAppBean" version="6.2.6">
- <page id="mainrec">
<include id="selfServicePageHeader" />
- <clientarea id="clientarea">
<appbar id="servreqs" />
- <tabgroup id="maintabs" format="carddeck">
- <tab id="results">
- <tabgroup id="mycustomtabgroup" format="carddeck">
- <tab id="mycustomtab1">
- <section id="main_grid1" border="true" label="Create Service Request">
Does that make sense?

Hi ,

I am trying to export /Import QBRs from one Environment to other. We exported REPORTDESIGN table ,and did export and import reports from test to dev.

QBRs were not imported.Please let me know if there is any step missing.

We are on Maximo7.5 environment.

Thanks
Deepika.

From: hankinskeith (2012-05-03 19:58)

Thanks for the clarification. Perhaps we have some issues with our environment, this was the first thing I tried and I get wierdness in both application designer (I open the app, I have two tabs and no controls after putting 75+ controls under the tab I created, I add a section, and POOF all of my controls now appear on the screen. Save, come back in try to open it again and the same thing happens, two tabs, zero controls in view until I add a new control) and in the application itself (The application shows two blank tabs and zero controls under it, until I remove the tab control and everything is back to normal.)
I'm not very good with XML itself, perhaps I have somethign screwed up in my xml, not really sure how i'd know. Thanks for your replies.

Nothing's jumping out at me as wrong there, but my eyes are tired looking at it!

Lets try to add our own new tab control to the pre-existing application and drag all of the sections onto the tab. Nope! Everything on the screen except the tab control and its tabs are MIA when opening the application.
