Document Management System for Maximo

From: dennis_belandres (2017-01-27 13:50)

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good DMS for Maximo?
We are currently looking at eDocumentus by Prozone and would like your
opinion if it's a good solution or should we look at something else.
Are there benchmarks out there?
Regards,
Dennis Belandres

Wouldn't it depend somewhat on the documents? I am also interested in the answer, as we are currently attaching documents to the Work Orders, Assets, and Locations for later retrieval. Is this wrong/bad?

we current use an application called HighView (by CACI).  We've created an interface with this application to link out from maximo for document management instead of using the out of the box feature.  Using this interface allows users of Highview to search meta data tags to find documents for a location without necessarily having to know the Maximo data.  Use of Highview allows for better document management compared to the out of the box attachments feature in Maximo.

Dennis –
I saw a demo for eDocumentus at a user group and it looked slick. I found this on the web as well.
