Unfortunately there isn't a direct conversion tool from Actuate to BIRT.
Since you're still on 6.2.x, why not stay with Actuate until you uprade to
7.x?

The Actuate iServer Supported Product matrix includes Server 2008 and 2008
R2.
I have Actuate versions 6 through 11 and all will install and run on Windows
Server 2008. People don't seem to understand that just because a server was
not out when that particular Actuate version was released, does not mean it
will not run on that Windows Server. The supported product matrix for
versions 9 and previous of Actuate do not mention Windows Server 2008
specifically simply because it was not around at that time.
