Extend date will allow you to change when the next PM will generate. Check the box under the extend date will change the due date from next generation forward..

One other note about the Extend Date function in v6... The field label is a bit misleading. You can actually set it for an earlier date as well if that need arises. I have not tried this in v7 yet, but I know it worked when we were on v6.

In Maximo 6, the help tools is very usefull for extended date. It will walk you through the process. What I normally do when I need to change the next due date is:
1. Set an extended date for the next time the pm is due.
2. Run the WO Gen for that date (there's a popup box when running Wo Gen where you can set the days out to the next time the PM is needed)
3. Recheck the box for "use last workorder start date to calculate..."
4. Click Save.
5. Grab yourself a cup of coffee :)
The estimated next due date should also reflect the changes.
Thanks,
Todd
