How to create a crossoverfield in Maximo 7.5

From: yudi.irianto (2012-05-03 08:50)

Dear all,
We want to add about 50 YORN fields in PRLINE and should be copied while
copying to RFQLINE or POLINE. How can we do that? As far as I know,
Crossover domain won't trigger in adding record in mbo side, it triggers
action() method.

The easiest way is to use the extra fields on the PRLINE table that still
cross over, i.e. RLIN1, RLIN2, etc., but there aren't that many of them.

May I ask: why do you need 50? If you tell us the business requirement, we
might be able to help you with another solution.

We have many QA (Quality Assurance) requirement that should to check by
user before create PRLine then store should be verified before GRN.
Eg: is this item needs: certificate (many if this)? inspection? analysis
report? etc

Or maybe we use in spesification tab?

Yes, you might be able to make it work using the specification tab.

Another idea is to create a form with Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat. The user would fill out the form and then attach it to the PR via Linked Documents. When the PO is created from the PR, the Linked Document will transfer over to the PO automatically.

Also note that there is an “Inspection Required” field that is available on the PR Line. It’s hidden by default, but you can un-hide it if you want it. That transfers to the PO and then affects the Receipt process.
