When you reconcile a balance at the item level in Inventory, you are given the opportunity to choose a shrinkage account. Why can you not assign this when you do a mass reconcile at the storeroom level in Inventory?
If you need a global setting, you can set the Shrinkage Account on the
Storeroom record.

When you reconcile a balance at the item level in Inventory, you are given

There is a shrinkage account on the storeroom record. That is what the reconcile balances defaults to when you do it item by item. My warehouse staff, for some reason, wants it to default to it when they do a mass reconcile by the storeroom.
I don't see any good reason why the product wouldn't default the storeroom value for the end user's convenience. It appears that you'll have to add the default on the dialog, which hopefully isn't too much of a hassle.

Yeah - trying adding a Default Value control to the dialog box - might work
