RE: [MAXIMO List] Time since inspection/repair/overhaul

From: planschd (2014-08-22 14:33)

The question might need some more clarification....but I will guess as to intent...
Add field to Asset record titled Last Rebuild Date.
Need business rule that says Only Repair work should be linked to CM worktype.
May need definition of Failure. And with that a YN field.
Problem codes entered at Completion.
Get inside the Failure Reports and look at code to be absolutely sure.
MTBF ... Pareto style.
Also consider operational downtime, assetcondition, and average annual costs (compare to purchase price).
...beable to drill down to Failed component.
Failure analytics and failure analysis is an advanced process. It is much more than adding fields to maximo.
Are your maintenance strategies correct? How do you know? Do you collect wo feedback? Is it just text ...or actionable data?
Have you conducted FMEA?
What is the end game?

</div>In base maximo, when defining work types in organization application, there is an option to specify whether its a repair or inspection or overhaul type worktype. By default it is 'None'. I understand this is for resetting the time since repair/inspection/overhaul once the workorder with that work type is executed. My question is where are these time since values calculated and stored in maximo?
