public class FldManufacturer
extends FldCompany

Basic common field validation class for MANUFACTURER field. It extends the basic class psdi.app.company.FldCompany for the set relationship and error message. It overrides the onlyEnabled() so it won't care if the company is disabled or not. More IMPORTANTLY: it overwrites the validate() method so value entered does not have to necessarily exist in the COMPANIES table. This field class is needed because the lookup of the companies table is still needed.

public boolean onlyEnabled()

Override this function to return false;i.e. as long as the manufacturer lives in the companies table, it is Ok.

DO NOT validate against the Companies table. Value entered which does not exist in the companies table is acceptable. This is the general behavior for most MANUFACTURER columns.
