A class that provides the user credential verification for the E-Signature functionality of the Web Application. The public methods in this class must be called only if a business object needs to verify the signature of the user performing the changes to the business object.

verifySignature

Verifies the user password and logs a record indicating the result of authentication. The current business object of the set is used to log the verification record.

Parameters:

request - The HTTP request object.

msr - The business object set that needs to be used.

username - user name

password - password

reason - a brief description to be logged for the verification.

Returns:

true to indicate that the user authentication is successful otherwise false.

Throws:

MXException - if there is any problem in authenticating the user

java.rmi.RemoteException - if there is any problem in authenticating the user.

logSignatureVerification

Logs a signature verification record in MAXIMO database tables with the appropriate parameters. The current business object of the set is used to log the verification record. This method should be used only for custom E-Sig verifications to log a record after the verification process is completed.

Parameters:

msr - The business object set that needs to be used.

username - user name

reason - password

authenticated - pass true to indicate authentication is success otherwise false.

Throws:

MXException - if there is any problem in logging.

java.rmi.RemoteException - if there is any problem in logging.
